Might time in the air differ from sheer miles? I thought my SFO-Tokyo flight took longer than SFO-Frankfurt.
Time in the air does differ, depending on the speed of the plane. Lately, planes have been flying slower, which uses less fuel, especially on the long-haul flights.
10,010 miles from Maui -> Dallas -> Boston -> London -> Athens. And return... 9,226 miles from Rome -> London -> Boston -> LA -> Maui.
